The U-VOL Ambassador Board is comprised of people who are leaders in their own fields and who voluntarily serve as sources of inspiration, guidance and wisdom for U-VOL Foundation. All Board members are volunteers without pay.

Faith Adole
Founder/President
Founder of U-VOL Foundation Inc, Faith Adole is a visionary Healthcare Leader. She is an experienced Nurse Practitioner & Chief Clinical Officer and is currently pursuing her Doctoral studies in Executive Nursing Leadership and an MBA degree at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Adole is an experienced Healthcare Leader that is passionate about inspiring Nurses and Midwives to lead in Global Health settings and is committed to healthcare advocacy, and bridging the gap for existing healthcare and wellness needs for the less privileged communities throughout the world. Ms. Adole is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Leaders, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing as well as a member of CHIEF.
Dr. Suzana Couto
Board Secretary
Dr. Suzana Couto is a science-driven, people-focused leader with over 15 years of experience in the healthcare field. She has dedicated her career to understanding diseases and pursuing cures for serious medical conditions, leading teams in medical centers such as Memorial Sloan-Kettering and Weill Cornell Medical school and companies like Genentech, Celgene, and Genmab. She is currently Vice President, Head of Pathology at Genmab, where she leads an international team. Dr. Couto is also a board-certified veterinary pathologist with a Ph.D. in cancer research from UC Davis. She believes that efforts towards prevention are essential to generate tangible, long-lasting positive impacts in people’s lives worldwide.
Sandra Beaver
Board Treasurer
Sandra Beaver is the Chief Financial Officer at Evolus. She has more than 20 years of financial experience, driving company growth through strategic planning, long-range forecasting, executing corporate development and capital markets transactions, and improving operational efficiency. Prior to Evolus, Ms. Beaver served as SVP of Finance at Experian, a global information services company, where she was responsible for half the company’s North America B2B business units. She is a former Board Member of Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, Executive Chair for the Southern Nevada Go Red for Women luncheon. Sandra holds a B.A. in Finance and Economics from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Dr. Tana DeSimone
Advisory Board Member
Dr. Tana DeSimone, DO MBA is a Chief Medical Officer and National Medical Director with OPTUM. As a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with a passion for healthcare policy and grassroots advocacy she is dedicated to serving at-risk and underserved populations. Dr. DeSimone is a proud member of the American Osteopathic Association and CHIEF. She is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and received a Master’s in Business Administration at University of
Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. DeSimone also completed training in health policy at New York Institute of Technology.
Rebecca Lanier

As a purpose-driven leader, Ms. Lanier is passionate about helping pave the way forward for women. Through her professional leadership roles and community involvement, she is constantly motivated to find opportunities to empower and lift new and rising voices.
She is currently the Vice President of Global Operations at SubjectWell, a tech-forward clinical trial marketplace for patient recruitment. Rebecca leads teams in both the US and South Africa, focusing on raising awareness of clinical research and providing patients with easier access to innovative treatment options.
Alexious Bulter
Advisory Board Member
Alexious Butler is a career senior foreign service officer with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). She has extensive experience in foreign service in East and southern Africa as well as Nigeria. Prior to her current role, Ms. Butler served as Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Resilience and Food Security (RFS). In addition, Ms. Butler also has an accomplished background as a public relations specialist for a variety of clients including Bayer Pharmaceuticals, McDonald’s, Nestle, Coca-Cola, and the World Bank.

Dr. Maimunat Alex-Adeomi
Advisory Board Member
Dr. Maimunat Alex-Adeomi, MBBS, MBA, is the Director, Global Training, and Implementation on the Global Child Health and Life Support Team at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), where she leads the global newborn health and training programs and global health education portfolios. Dr. Alex-Adeomi received her medical degree at the University of Ilorin in Nigeria, and her MBA at the University of Aberdeen Graduate Business School in the United Kingdom. She also received additional training in Global Health Effectiveness at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Alex-Adeomi’s passion and expertise in promoting quality of care for underserved populations and health workforce training have seen her work to improve health indices, build capacity of health workers and strengthen health systems in over 40+ countries across 5 continents.
Dr. Cindy Nelly

Dr. Cindy Nelly is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Certified Nurse-Midwife. She has worked in full-scope women’s health and high-risk obstetrics as an educator, administrator, and in executive management, along with an extensive background in Global Health. Dr. Nelly has previously served as a Chief Operating Officer and managed large medical teams. Cindy is passionate about public health, humanitarian health, and providing care to vulnerable populations. She is dedicated to promoting collaborative healthcare education and training to healthcare providers worldwide. Dr. Nelly is pleased to serve on U-VOL’s Advisory Board to further help and support the organization’s mission.
