We recognize that real barriers exist to acquiring basic health knowledge in order to develop healthy practices. The people in the communities we visit often live in conditions where hygiene practices such as washing your hands can be difficult to do. Our volunteers teach simple ways to manage their health with the resources available to them in their own environment.
Hygiene/Sanitation/Infection Control
Hygiene education is one of the best ways to reduce the development and spread of illness. We conduct educational workshops that focus on personal hygiene, hand washing with soap, food preparation, household sanitation, and proper waste disposal.
Health Promotion
We conduct preventative health educational workshops that focus on nutritional, physical and mental wellness practices to prevent illness and disease.
